Irvine, Calif. – Roland DGA Corp. has expanded its engraving software line with the introduction of EngraveLab Foundation for Roland, a powerful, yet easy-to-use software program designed for start-up businesses and others new to engraving technologies and applications.
Priced at $499, EngraveLab Foundation for Roland is fully compatible with all Roland EGX engraving machines, including the EGX-20, EGX-30A, EGX-350, EGX-360 and EGX Pro (400/600) series. Featuring all the tools professionals need to operate a successful engraving business, EngraveLab Foundation can be paired with a Roland EGX engraver to produce custom awards, trophies, name tags, badges, jewelry, giftware and simple two-dimensional engraved signs, all in a streamlined workflow.

With EngraveLab Foundation for Roland, users can take full advantage of industry-leading import filters supporting EPS, AutoCAD® DXF, and Adobe® Illustrator® and PDF file formats. The software includes more than 100 engraving fonts and 5,000 clipart images, making it easy to mix text and graphics. A host of drawing tools allows users to produce a variety of shapes, and several text alignment options make it easy to position designs for professional results.
EngraveLab Foundation for Roland joins a full suite of software packages already available from Roland for EGX engraving machines, including both free bundled software and optional upgrades such as EngraveLab Expert. EngraveLab Expert builds on the capabilities of EngraveLab Foundation with support for additional applications, including the production of Braille and pictographic signs that meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
