HANOVER PARK, Ill., November 2003 – A tireless champion for what she believes in, Eve Asbury was selected as the most recent recipient of the Enovation/Fujifilm Industry Achievement Award. The award, which is announced during the SPECTRUM conference each year, honors industry professionals who exhibit a dedication to providing the graphic arts community with new advances, technologies and tools. “Eve has redefined what it means to get involved in the graphics community. She has been and always will be both a leader in the industry as well as a leader in the technologies being used,” said Mike Geiser, Enovation’s national manager, print media. “In whatever position she finds herself, she always determines what her company’s objectives are and successfully helps achieve them.” “Eve is always a vocal champion for what she believes in and her primary concern is what is good and right for her company and our industry,” remarked Riley Whitman, Enovation’s vice president of national accounts, when he presented the award. “Her passionate views do no always allow her to take the easy, popular road, but she listens as well as she communicates and she takes to heart the advice of trusted peers.” Asbury has dedicated much of her career in the graphic arts industry to being a proponent for standards and has helped her company, Saatchi & Saatchi, become industry pacesetters in the creation and distribution of digital advertising. She and her team have played key roles in pushing for publishers to accept digital ads, the transition to and implementation of digital asset management and utilization of remote and soft proofing technologies. “Eve is someone who really believes anything is possible and she has a fearless ‘can do’ attitude as well as a constant wish to learn,” added Whitman. Established in 1999 and given each year to an individual who has unselfishly given their time and expertise to help continue the advancement of the graphic arts community, the Enovation/Fujifilm Industry Achievement Award honors those working in the areas of advertising, creative, prepress, printing, publishing and manufacturing.
