Sales Expert Becomes Third Veteran Executive to Join the Association Recently As NAPL Strengthens and Expands Its Industry Consulting Services

East Rutherford, N.J.The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) has announced that Bill Farquharson has joined the Association as a Vice President and member of its Business Advisory Team. The veteran industry sales expert is the third executive to join NAPL’s consulting group in the last 30 days. In August, Mark R. Hahn became an NAPL Senior Vice President, specializing in finance, operations, and M&A; and Mitch Evans was named an NAPL Vice President, specializing in finance, M&A, and quick and small printer issues.

“The addition of Bill, Mark, and Mitch to our already strong Business Advisory Team means that we will have even more opportunities to offer our members and clients the knowledgeable, industry-specific consulting services they have come to expect from NAPL,” says NAPL President & Chief Executive Officer Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D.

“Developing sales strategies and training salespeople in new consultative selling methods is a key need for our members and clients,” says NAPL Senior Vice President Mike Philie, who leads the Business Advisory Team. “Having a veteran?and highly successful?sales trainer like Bill on board is a tremendous addition to our team and further enhances our ability to provide the best sales development and training services in the industry.

“And with industry consolidation a major trend, we are pleased to now be able to call upon the M&A expertise of Mark, Mitch, and NAPL Vice President Tom Cobery to handle strategic transaction opportunities for anyone in the industry,” he continues. “We invite company owners and executives to meet them in person at NAPL’s booth at PRINT 13 in Chicago next week or at our M&A Workshop in that city on Sept. 7.”

Multimedia Trainer

Prior to joining NAPL, Farquharson served as President of Aspire For, a sales training and consulting firm in Duxbury, Mass. A 30+ year sales veteran in the print and forms industries, he has trained thousands of print sales representatives, sales managers, and “selling owners” with a highly successful, no-nonsense “old school” approach.

His unique training programs—The Sales Challenge, The Mobile Sales Club, andTuesday eWorkshops—have become an industry standard for driving new business. He has trained and coached salespeople at many of the industry’s largest suppliers, including Xerox, Fuji, HP Indigo, Heidelberg, EFI, and Konica Minolta, among others.

An active columnist and blogger for Printing Impressions magazine, PIWorld.com, Farquharson also shares two weekly electronic eblasts each week with thousands worldwide: his Monday Video Sales Tip and Friday Short Attention Span Webinars.

He received a B.A. degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and worked in sales at UARCO Business Forms, Advanced Form Systems, and Print Tec Network, prior to founding his own firm.

Farquharson, Hahn, Evans, and Philie, along with Howie Fenton and Tom Cobery,  will be at the NAPL booth (#3961) during the PRINT 13 show in Chicago, Sept. 8-12, to meet NAPL/NAQP members and show visitors. They will also be available for free 15-30 minute consultations with business owners and executives.
