Press release from the issuing company
Segbert, the European and North American market leader for high-performance bundle palletizing robots in the printing industry announced today that they will show a complete palletizing line at the upcoming PRINT in Chicago.
The line will include the ICSCE compensating stacker, the VVS 8-1 pre-sorter and the MPA layer palletizer robot.
The ICSCE stacker is one of fastest compensating stackers available, with a cycle time of 0.9 sec./bundle. The all servo-driven design as well as a control architecture with numerous interface options make it the perfect stacker for high-speed web-presses as well as saddle-stitchers and co-mailers.
The VVS 8-1 pre-sorter has the capability to sort any stream of uneven height bundles into a stream of bundles of almost even height. In combination with any Segbert palletizing robot this allows for the processing of up to 50 bundles/min. of ZIP code sorted mail, which makes this combination ideal for co-mailers, saddle-stitchers and perfect binders that run mail production.
The MPA palletizer is the most recent addition to the Segbert range of palletizing layer robots. It has a very small footprint but shares many of its capabilities with the other Segbert palletizers. In all Segbert palletizers the bundles are always moved on belts or rollers, so that a bundle is never pushed or gripped, which ensures that even the most difficult bundles can be handled and palletized securely.
This is the first time that Segbert is exhibiting in North America and the company has selected PRINT 13 in Chicago as the best platform to show their latest technology.
Klaus Segbert, Managing Director of Segbert GmbH in Ahaus, Germany said: “We are excited to be present at PRINT 13 and we are confident that we can offer the equipment and expertise in these challenging times for the printing industry to help printers become more efficient and more profitable.”
At the same time Segbert is launching their new website: www.segbert.com
The new website has been designed to be used efficiently on any device, be it stationary or mobile and will give the user detailed information about the various products as well as contact and access information for the 24h support that Segbert offers for its customers.
Segbert palletizers and stackers are used in more than 250 installations in press rooms and binderies around the globe and can be customized to handle a wide range of printed products like newspapers, retail inserts, magazines, catalogues, loose signatures, logs of signatures, books and book blocks and labels.
