Press release from the issuing company
HURST, Texas U.S.A - The Electronic Document Scholarship Foundation (EDSF), the international non-profit organization dedicated to developing and providing programs to attract and support students worldwide with their education plans, announced its 2013-2014 scholarship recipients.
“This is the time of year when everyone is focused on the excitement of going “back to school” and we are very proud to be able to help insure that many students are indeed able to continue their educations during this period of diminishing educational funding” said Brenda Kai, EDSF Executive Director.
EDSF’s scholarship program makes it possible for students to receive the education necessary to pursue careers in the Document Management and Graphic Communications industry. What makes EDSF unique is the international scope of their operations. Since the inception of its scholarship program in 1999, EDSF has awarded 503 scholarships to exceptional students in the Unites States and other countries including Australia, Belarus, Canada, China, Dubai, Iceland, Italy, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
This year EDSF is proud to announce that, with the support of its Board of Directors and industry sponsors, 59 scholarships to 48 students were awarded. A complete list of students and our sponsors can be found by clicking on the following link, click here >>.
“We couldn’t do it without you” is a cliché, but given the rising costs of education and the dwindling of federal and local college funding, your assistance is more critical then ever and appreciated more than ever. How important your contributions are is reflected in the following comments of a few of our students:
Toluwase Bolarin, Freshman, University of Cincinnati
“During the course of my search for financial aid, I quickly found out that not many scholarships are made available for international students. EDSF was the only exception to that rule. Apart from the fact that the EDSF Scholarship Award reduces the financial burden that college tuition can have on my parents, it also makes me feel welcome and accepted in the United States as an individual whose gifts and talents are valued!”
Taylor Deppisch, Senior, Texas State University
“As a college student paying for school on my own, receiving an EDSF Scholarship has been such a blessing. It eases some of the financial burden and will allow me to focus more on my studies this year. I am extremely thankful that this foundation exists and is encouraging students like myself to pursue careers in graphic communications and document management.”
Carla Crandall, Senior, Rochester Institute of Technology
“I can’t accurately express how much it means to me that EDSF believes in my abilities and my future enough to offer me this scholarship. With the cost of tuition continually rising, I’m beyond grateful to have extra financial help this year. I hope to make EDSF proud and live up to their faith in me.”
