Brussels, Belgium, – International Paper, the world’s largest paper and packaging company, has announced that Warren Board Sales Ltd., will stock and distribute its Carolina® C1S and C2S one and two-sided coated solid bleached sulphate board (SBS) grades in the UK. 

This step forms part of International Paper’s recently announced extended cooperation with Warren Board, which will see the independent cartonboard and graphical board stockist stock and distribute various International Paper manufactured cartonboard products. In addition to Carolina®, brands such as Everest® (SBS), Arktika (GC1) and Alaska (GC2) will also be available for sale through Warren Board as the agreement progresses, with future developments of speciality boards likely.

Carolina® C1S and C2S, are one and two-sided coated solid bleached sulphate boards, suitable for printing applications such as greetings cards, book covers, direct marketing materials, brochures, catalogues, annual reports and all kinds of luxury packaging. Carolina® is produced in International Paper mills in the US. Carolina® C1S is available in grammage weights from 180gsm to 350gsm, whilst Carolina C2S is available in grammages from 195gsm up to 465gsm.

Carolina® is renowned for its exceptional brightness and whiteness values, with its C1S grade standing out with a high brightness value when compared to other comparative one side coated grades, together with a smooth surface, high gloss and excellent durability qualities, which make the printed products that it is used for truly stand out with crystal-clear image reproduction, crisp colours and a top-range, high-quality look. Carolina® C2S has an industry-leading brightness and whiteness value, providing a consistent coating and high-gloss finish. Carolina® has dependable product features, and its blue-white colour is extremely fade resistant, remaining pristine and excellent, whatever the application.

The Carolina® range is also the perfect sustainable choice, with high environmental attributes. Not only is Carolina® PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified, but the mill is FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and SFI® (Sustainable Forestry Initiative®) Chain of Custody certified.

Together with its consistent excellence, durable and fade-resistance attributes, Carolina® is also a recommended product by a number of the leading digital equipment manufacturers, including; Ricoh, Xerox, Canon, HP, Oce, Kodak, Konica Minolta and Kyocera Mita for use on a number of their high-end digital printers.
