Partnership Brings a New Level of Productivity and Quality Control to Mail Operations 

Overland Park, KS – W+D North America, the North American Sales and Service Company of W+D GmbH, a leading technology and systems solution provider to the mail industry today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Westford, MA based Ironsides Technology, a software development and integration firm that provides workflow automation and enterprise wide integrity tracking solutions across all production devices and processes.

Under terms of the agreement W+D will resell Ironsides Automatic Production Tracking (APT) technology for use on its mail inserting and production systems. APT is a scalable and open architecture software solution that is designed to optimize productivity and document integrity for print and mail operations of all sizes. Bill Riley, President of Ironsides, states, “APT is a simple and effective solution that will allow W+D’s new and existing customers to have a real-time status of all jobs and pieces in the production process. Riley adds, “The true strength of our system is that we truly are device agnostic, we seamlessly integrate into any piece of mailing, printing, and fulfillment equipment regardless of the manufacturer.”

Print 2013, North America’s largest industry trade show, is scheduled for September 8^th to 12^th at McCormick place in Chicago. W+D will be located in booth #3922 at the show. In addition to Ironsides APT technology W+D will also be demonstrating the W+D 234 d XL and BB700 S2. The W+D 234 d XL is world’s fastest industrial grade, high speed four-color drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet envelope overprint press. The W+D BB700 S2 is a servo driven modular direct mail inserter with print first DOD inkjet printing.
