INX International to showcase "The FX of INX" at Print 13

Press release from the issuing company

Schaumburg, IL – INX International Ink Co. is going beyond the ordinary this year with the products it will exhibit at Print ’13, to be held September 8-13 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Under the theme of “The FX of INX”, visitors to booth 217 will discover new technical advances from INX that can bring increased size, speed, safety and more to impact commercial, packaging and digital printing.

At the show, areas of the INX booth will be characterized by a different FX made possible by INX products.  New ink platforms, curing technologies, alternative digital inks and innovative equipment for label and industrial printing will all be showcased.  For example, the INX special FX area will feature UV inks and coatings that create textured feels, soft touches, pearlescent glows, high contrast glosses and gleaming metallic finishes.

For improved reproduction on wide and superwide displays, another FX station in the booth will be dedicated to the company’s alternative digital inks.  In yet another area, INX will conduct live demonstrations of Triangle™ MED.  These UV LED inks are optimized for the Mimaki 3042 printer and provide greater adhesion to multiple substrates in comparison to the OEM product.

For a faster return on investment, INX plans to show the value to sheetfed printers for retrofitting their presses to LED UV.  In conjunction with Air Motion Systems (AMS), PEAK LED-UV™ delivers innovative new levels in high LED intensity, working distance, uniformity, durability and ease of use, opening the door for curing innovations in offset, flexo and digital applications.  Compatible with the AMS curing unit, INXCure™ LED OSF process inks are 100% reactive inks that offer superior printing properties and are suitable for high-end sheetfed applications.

The NW140 UV digital narrow web press continues to impress in the marketplace.  Powered by the JetINX™ printhead drive and ink recirculation system, the incredibly fast press will demonstrate its UV-LED cure single pass output up to 80 feet per minute on any label stock. The NW140 combines printing and conversion by using the Spartanics X140 laser die-cutting station to provide brilliant color and easy separation of printed labels. The press also uses EVOLVE™ Advanced Digital Solutions brand ink and supports media up to 2mm thick, on 3-inch cores up to two feet in diameter.

Low Migration inks and Food Packaging protocols throughout the world continue to be updated regularly and INX will address these important issues at the show.  Print ‘13 visitors can obtain a copy of “Low Migration Inks in Packaging,” a helpful and comprehensive guide developed primarily for food package providers to understand the challenges the packaging industry faces today.  It details the most relevant regulations and standards, and offers supply chain links, responsibilities and recommendations for print production processes.  INX will have experts available in the booth to discuss.
