Totalpost Experience Substantial Expansion Following Queens Award

Press release from the issuing company

International mailroom and security screening specialist, Totalpost Services Plc, has reported substantial growth across all areas of the business after receiving a Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade earlier this year.

The company were notified of the award achievement at the end of April and since then in less than two months have seen a 20% upsurge in business and a 25% increase in staff.

Totalpost were granted the award largely for the international growth of the mailroom consumables side of the business which manufactures and distributes compatible franking machine cartridges. Since winning the award, new customers have approached the company to enquire whether Totalpost can manufacture products on their behalf. Additionally Totalpost has taken on a number of new distributorships for this side of the business.

This has enabled the company to make further investment into their manufacturing centre where new machinery is being purchased and new members of production staff have been employed.

Subsidiary Totalpost companies have been opened in France and Germany to deal with increased demand for franking machine equipment and supplies in these areas.

Additionally the company is currently opening a brand new subsidiary in South Africa and has employed staff here. This comes as Totalpost take over the official distributorship for the World renowned Astrophysics Inc X-ray security screening equipment range in South Africa.

Totalpost has held the exclusive Astrophysics distributor rights in the UK and Ireland for the last 18 months. They have recently become Astrophysic’s top European distributor having secured over £1m of orders in 2013 to date.

The award and subsequent increase in brand awareness has led to a demand for the mailroom and security screening maintenance services that Totalpost supplies. New engineers have been employed across the country to meet this demand.

Talking about the last few months, Managing Director of  Totalpost, David Hymers, says: “We have never been busier and this is fantastic. The team is pulling together to ensure that we do not miss out on any opportunities that have been generated as a result of the Queens Award recognition. The rapid growth both at home and internationally is very exciting and all areas of the business are benefiting from it.”

This growth comes ahead of the Buckingham Palace winners celebration in July and the Queens Award official presentation which will be held at Totalpost’s head office in August.
