KBA Shows Key Support For Printing Industry at Print 13

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago show launches new presses along with a booth visit from NAPL Senior Vice President and Chief Economist Andrew Paparozzi providing a print industry preview

KBA North America proudly announces its exhibition at Print 13 as a dynamic informative and interactive booth demonstrating its strong support for the printing industry and its customers and prospects. The exhibit is designed to educate attendees about KBA’s wide range of printing presses, its solutions for commercial, packaging, digital, metal decorating, and flexible substrate markets, and its unique automated systems and services that help customers raise the bar to become more profitable and competitive. PRINT 13 is the largest and most innovative global exhibition of digital, offset and hybrid technologies in 2013. It is scheduled for September 8-12, 2013 at McCormick Place in Chicago. KBA will be located at Booth 2321.

“We are proud to be exhibiting at Print 13,” says Mark Hischar, president and CEO of KBA North America. “Our support of the industry is as strong and resolute as ever and we would not miss an opportunity as large as Print 13 to talk one-to-one with our customers and prospects and to show them why KBA is the leading press manufacturer in the graphic arts industry. We believe this is an important once-a-year occasion to open a dialogue with attendees about the wide range of equipment we offer, including new digital and large format presses, and our many popular services, such as Service Select.”

“The Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) is proud of the broad support that PRINT 13 has been receiving from KBA and the supplier community with its solid commitment to the industry by exhibiting in Chicago this year,” says Ralph Nappi, president of GASC.  “KBA has an impressive record and commitment to our industry by being a regular consistent supporter of trade shows and our industry’s customer base for many years.”

The centerpiece of the booth will be a comfortable lounge atmosphere with German beer and sausages. On the outer perimeter of the booth will be 10 free standing walls showing the different market segments that KBA serves. The 10 segments will furnish information on commercial printing, folding carton packaging, flexible packaging, metal decorating, newspaper, plastic cards, security printing, digital printing, signage/ POP and service and support. Private conference rooms will be available for speaking one-to-one with customers.

After the launch of the world’s fastest presses at Drupa 2012 with the Rapida 106 rated at 20,000 sph and the Rapida 145 at 17,000 sph, Print 13 will launch the new KBA Rapida 164 press, introduced in February 2013, which has been dubbed the "big sister" to the Rapida 145 that was unveiled at Drupa. The new Rapida 164 features a marginally larger sheet size and higher print speed than its predecessor the 162/162a. It reaches maximum production speed up to 16,000 sph with KBA's high-speed upgrade. The KBA booth will also focus on its entry into high-volume digital print with the KBA RotaJET 76, an inkjet web press.

A special dedicated area of the KBA booth will be devoted to educating attendees about Service Select. Recently, Service Select has expanded its programs into web offset; a new special area within the booth will focus on this segment’s exact needs. Attendees will be able to see live press analysis presented by the firm’s highly-knowledgeable technical team. Service Select is a complete line of customized service products designed to maximize the productivity and profitability of a customer’s KBA press.

The KBA booth will proudly be the site for the unveiling of the new State of the Industry report, by NAPL Senior Vice President and Chief Economist Andrew Paparozzi. The report is an overview of industry business conditions based on hundreds of comprehensive company surveys, studies, and economic reports. It also provides the story behind the numbers through interviews with survey respondents who explain their assessment of current conditions and outlook for the future. He will appear twice on Tuesday Sept. 10 at 11:50 a.m. and later that day at 3:00 p.m.
