SPRINGFIELD, MA - PPC members are reminded to submit their best package designs to the North American Paperboard Packaging Competition (NAPPC) by June 1.
Judged by a jury of packaging designers, industry leaders, university professors, and magazine publishers, NAPPC is the premier competition for carton manufacturers involved in the design and manufacture of paperboard packaging.
To be eligible for the competition, each entry must be converted in a PPC member facility for the first time between June 1, 2012 and June 1, 2013 and consist of at least 50% paperboard visible to the end user.?
PPC member companies can compete in the categories of General, Eco, and Innovation. All entries are eligible for the top Paperboard Package of the Year award. Other top awards include the Rigid Box of the Year, Folding Carton of the Year, the Innovation Award (which recognizes outstanding design based on processing and structural integrity), and the Eco Award (which celebrates sustainable uses of paperboard as an original or replacement substrate).
The winning entries will be honored at PPC’s Fall Meeting, October 23-25, 2013 in Dallas, TX. Winners will also be featured in a glossy competition awards program and receive national recognition via feature-length articles in multiple trade publications. Photos of the winning entries are also featured on PPC’s website and social media pages.
“The packaging competition provides a remarkable opportunity for members to show off their most innovative and ecological package designs,” said PPC President Ben Markens. “It is also an arena in which to celebrate the ingenuity and utilitarianism inherent in this ecological packaging substrate.”
Entry forms and competition details are available at paperbox.org/cc.
