Multi-Million Dollar Investment Over Two Years in Development
DAYTON, OHIO – WorkflowOne, a leader in print management, distribution and promotional marketing, today launched a new suite of technology applications designed to help customers improve their business process for managing static and variable print and promotional products.
Called the AxisOne Technology Suite, the platform offers integrated modules that help customers collaborate, source, shop online, and distribute print and promotional items. The suite also offers a rich set of reporting capabilities to assess overall program efficiency and effectiveness.
According to an Aberdeen Consulting Group study, 86% of companies manually source and purchase print services today, making it difficult to control and optimize their spend. AxisOne makes it easier for customers to gain visibility and control of their spend while delivering targeted, customized communication to their constituents by providing technology enablement for every phase of the print lifecycle.
“As our name implies, we’re all about streamlining the workflow of how our clients develop and execute print and promotional programs,” said Tim Tatman, president and CEO. “We want to give them robust technology tools that are flexible and easy to use so they can concentrate on other aspects of running their business. In fact, it’s part of our mission to continually look for ways to make it easier for customers to do business with us.”
The AxisOne Technology Suite is the culmination of a multi-million dollar investment and more than two years’ worth of effort, Tatman said. It builds on WorkflowOne’s decades of experience providing e-commerce applications to thousands of customers nationwide, but offers a more contemporary “retail” look and feel. The company employed the services of a Ph.D. in human factors to craft a user experience that is simple and intuitive.
The modules in the AxisOne Technology Suite support online proofing and collaboration, simultaneous sourcing to hundreds of certified trade partners and company-owned facilities, variable and static web-to-print production, location profiling for the planning and budgeting of multi-site campaigns, as well as kitting and fulfillment. It also enables complex administrative rules for billing and cost allocations to help customers better manage their budgets.
WorkflowOne partnered with EFI, the world’s leading printing workflow technology provider, to develop the AxisOne Technology Suite. EFI’s Digital StoreFront® and Monarch products powers AxisOne’s web-to-print interface, providing a flexible, scalable and automated workflow for streamlined eCommerce and job submission.
“Our partnership with WorkflowOne is an excellent example of how leading industry firms can collaborate to create innovative, new systems that advance supply chain management,” said Marc Olin, senior vice president and general manager of EFI Productivity Software. “Our Digital StoreFront implementation in the AxisOne Technology Suite helps WorkflowOne establish a higher level of integrated workflow that makes print and promotion management much easier for its customers.”
One of the newest aspects of the suite is an enhanced online shopping experience that allows users to order static and variable printed items and branded merchandise in a single transaction. The Shop module of AxisOne is PCI compliant, which assures users that that their credit card information is handled with the highest levels of security in the industry. In March 2012, WorkflowOne was one of the first companies in the print industry to achieve compliance with the Payment Card Industry’s Data Security Standard.
As part of the AxisOne suite development, WorkflowOne also greatly increased its business intelligence capabilities and can now leverage an advanced data warehouse for deeper analysis of cost drivers and vendor performance in each account.
“WorkflowOne’s business philosophy centers on continuous improvement of our people, process and technology to deliver exceptional service to our customers,” Tatman explained. “The AxisOne suite is our latest milestone in what will be a continuing series of enhancements and future applications.”
