Alexander Wassermann becomes CEO of Papersystems Group

Wedel – The management of Papersystems Holding GmbH, the holding company of the three companies E.C.H. Will GmbH, Pemco Inc. and Kugler-Womako GmbH, all leading providers of machines for the paper manufacturing, converting and packaging industry, is expanding. As of March 1, 2013 Alexander Wassermann (47) has taken over chairmanship of the Management Board as CEO. He is thus following Klaus Aarestrup, who departed the group on December 31, 2012, in order to accept a new challenge. 

Alexander Wassermann, who is coming from Voith Papier, is an acknowledged expert in the paper industry. He possesses detailed technical knowledge about the production and converting of paper and in the construction and maintenance of paper machines. At the University of Graz Wassermann studied paper, fibre and pulp technology and began his career in 1994 at Sulzer Papertec in Ravensburg. Following this were stations at Voith Paper in St. Pölten, Heidenheim and Appleton. During this time, Wassermann was involved in the commissioning of paper machines, in development and in product management. In technical sales and as a member of management, he actively contributed to the market success of Voith Paper in Asia and was most recently responsible for the product and service business for paper machines worldwide.

Daniel Walk, Managing Director of E.C.H. Will and CFO of Papersystems Holding, is convinced: "With his extensive experience in the paper industry Alexander Wassermann will be able to enrich the future development of our company with many new ideas." 

As of March 1, 2013 the Management Board of Papersystems Holding comprises Alexander Wassermann as CEO and Chairman, Daniel Walk as CFO and Dr Volker Heidtmann as COO.
