Press release from the issuing company
Berlin – axaio software, developer of solutions for PDF creation, printing and content correction workflows for the publishing and printing markets, has updated its flagship product MadeToPrint. The new version includes interesting new features and bug fixes.
"Quality verification is one of the most important steps in any publishing workflow," comments Karina Zander, Sales and Marketing Manager from axaio software. "The earlier you perform sophisticated quality checkups in the creative workflow, the easier it is to correct mistakes saving time and costs. That is why the new update of MadeToPrint includes a number of improvements in this area." While the individual changes to the product are small, they were often requested by customers and make the whole process more streamlined.
axaio MadeToPrint can run the built-in InDesign preflight and a number of additional MadeToPrint quality control steps. The result of all of these preflight checks are now bundled in one integrated preflight report that shows all problems. Likewise, the integrated PDF engine can now be better configured so that - based on the result of the preflight - different kinds of reports are generated. Different customers and different situations are better served with different reports (such as text-, XML-, PDF- or HTML-preflight-reports) and those can now be correctly configured. On top of that, it is now also possible to search for missing links in specific folders and subfolders during preflighting.
With regards to output automation a number of improvements were done as well. When processing books, you can now run pre and post-processing scripts on the complete book. Those customers using alternate layouts in their designs in CS6, can now correctly use page ranges when generating output from such documents. Last but not least, the manual (interactive) mode of MadeToPrint allows using the "ask" token to interactively decide which page range of a document needs to be exported, and when PDF files are generated they can automatically be opened in the default PDF application after export.
