Press release from the issuing company
Lutz, FL – Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced that the EDP certification (Electronic Document Professional) has been awarded to twelve HP employees, the most EDP designations from a single company in a class since the EDP designation was created in 1991. Several other applications are pending and awaiting review.
The EDP program, launched by Xplor International over 20 years ago, is an industry designation awarded to qualified individuals who have demonstrated broad knowledge of, and experience in digital communication, whether in print, over internal networks or online-from document creation to distribution.
"I am certainly impressed how HP took this program from concept to obtaining exceptional results in such a short period of time," says Skip Henk, President/CEO of Xplor International. "It is a testament to their commitment to their customers, employees and the industry."
In May of 2012, HP launched a program to fully fund EDP certification for an unlimited number of employees within their Graphics Arts organization. HP is the only major vendor in the document industry to launch such an effort.
The EDP designation is internationally recognized and specifies a high standard of ethics, knowledge and industry experience for those professionals achieving certification in the field of electronic document systems. It serves as a catalyst for quality; professionals improve the industry through individual growth, knowledge sharing and mentoring others.
