Press release from the issuing company
Derry, NH – At booth 5080 during WestPack 2013, February 12-14, Allen Datagraph Systems Inc. (ADSI) will introduce its new iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label System, a complete digital solution built to print and finish labels for label convertors and brand owners of all sizes. The system offers a significant increase in speed from ADSI’s original iTech AXXIS Digital Label System. The iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label System, designed and manufactured in the U.S., is comprised of both the iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label Printer, a high-resolution roll-fed CMYK print engine featuring LED toner technology, and the iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label Finisher that laminates, integrates die-less die cutting, and then strips, slits and rewinds to finished rolls of labels.
“We have been very successful selling the tabletop iTech AXXIS Digital Label System, but our customers have also expressed interest in a faster version. The iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label System is ADSI’s answer for our customers who appreciated the flexibility of the original iTech AXXIS Digital Label System, and the ability to manufacture—print and finish—labels in a complete, all digital workflow with greater productivity. Our new iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label System has faster printing and finishing,” comments Mark Vanover, ADSI VP, Sales and Marketing.
The new iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label Printer includes an LED toner printer manufactured by OKI which images consumer-quality labels with brilliant, durable, consistent color at 1200 dpi X 600 dpi, at speeds up to 30 feet per minute (9.1 meters per minute). The iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label Printer offers exceptional productivity. With a maximum width of 8.5” (216 mm), the printer has a wide degree of substrate flexibility that does not require top coating. For maximum flexibility, the printer is capable of being used stand alone in a pre-die cut label workflow
“Since Labelexpo 2012, ADSI has partnered with OKI for our iTech CENTRA HS Digital Label System, which includes OKI’s 12.9 inch (325 mm) wide print engine with many exclusive features. The CENTRA HS delivers exceptional print quality and productivity, and we believe that OKI performance will provide the same results for our iTech AXXIS HS printer customers, explains Vanover.”
Included with the iTech AXXIS HS printer is a Wasatch SoftRIP, easy to use software that manages all print job parameters. The intuitive layout features enable users to maximize substrate usage to minimize waste. A full suite of color control capabilities – ICC color management, tone curve reproduction and unique and powerful spot color replacement features – enhances the print quality of the iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label Printer. The RIP includes stochastic screening and a consumable cost estimator. A variable data print option is available – enabling sequential numbering and bar codes along with graphic elements.
The other component, the iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label Finisher, is able to finish on-demand labels of any shape. About 25% faster than the standard iTech AXXIS Digital Label Finisher, it laminates, integrates die-less die cutting (any vector shape designed in Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw), strips, slits and rewinds to finished rolls of labels.
Print to cut registration is accomplished via the SMARTMark Optical Registration System. Requiring no dies, make-ready, or running waste, the iTech AXXIS HS Digital Finishing System’s versatility and accuracy provide the professional converter as well as the end user with true ‘on demand’ label manufacturing capabilities.
“We have engineered the iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label System to offer more productivity,” comments Vanover. “The iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label System continues to offer ADSI’s promise of a complete tabletop label production system printing high quality labels at an astonishingly low cost per label to produce. We look forward to showing the system to visitors at our booth during WestPack.”
Orders for the iTech AXXIS HS Digital Label System will be taken during WestPack in February. Deliveries are expected to begin in March 2013. For more information, please contact Allen Datagraph Systems, Inc. at [email protected] or 603-216-6344.
