Santa Ana, CA -- At the Dscoop8 Annual Conference, Duplo USA Corporation, a leading manufacturer of print finishing equipment, will unveil the new Ultra 300Ai UV Coater fully integrated in-line with the HP Indigo 7600 Digital Press, demonstrating a seamless printing and UV coating solution for the HP Graphic Arts user community.

Enhancing the value and vibrancy of printed pieces, the Ultra 300Ai adds richness to its colors and protects them from scratches and scuffs at higher speeds up to 148 feet (45 meters) per minute. A high quality gloss or satin finish can be applied to a wide range of digitally-printed applications up to 350 gsm, and paper sizes up to 13” x 19” can be processed in-line with the HP Indigo 7600 Digital Press. Similar to other Ultra models, the Ultra 300Ai features an intelligent control system for ease of use and innovative technology for producing coated sheets with a smear-free finish. 

The Ultra 300Ai is connectable in-line with any HP Indigo 7x00 series digital press. The electronic interface provides bi-directional communication that will alert the press to stop in the event a paper jam occurs in the UV coater. The Ultra 300Ai can also be used near-line or off-line using an optional high capacity, air suction feeder.

Also on exhibit at the Duplo booth #938 will be the high production DC-745 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser and the DFS-3500 Full-Bleed Bookletmaking System.

Performing up to 10 slits, 25 cuts and 20 creases in a single pass, the DC-745 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser eliminates white borders and toner cracking on digital color documents up to 50 sheets per minute. Taking the success of the DC-645 model to the next level, the DC-745 comes loaded with additional features including a higher feed capacity and a PC Controller for easy job setup as well as offers optional scoring and perforating modules for increased versatility. Users can go beyond basic finishing and create innovative, full-bleed applications such as business cards, greeting cards, direct mailers, and perforated pieces in one pass!

DFS-3500 Full-Bleed Bookletmaking System with DSS-350 Square Spine

Combining the creasing and slitting functions of the DC-445 Creaser with the stitching, folding and trimming capabilities of the mid-range DBM-350 Bookletmaker, the DFS-3500 Bookletmaking System delivers an affordable, all-in-one solution ideal for lower volume jobs. Creasing the cover and innermost sheets prior to folding prevents toner cracking and guarantees professional folds. The optional slitting module trims the head and foot of each sheet for a full-bleed finish before accumulating in the bookletmaker, eliminating the need for separate cutting and creasing equipment. The system also comes equipped with heavy-duty stitching heads and an integrated book spine compressor to produce booklets with a lay-flat finish. The optional DSS-350 Square Spine can also be added to give booklets a square spine look.
