Reston, VA - The ever-changing global print market will be explored in depth at the NPES Print Business Outlook Conference 2013 presented by NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, USA, and co-sponsored by the Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers' Association (IPAMA). It will be held February 24 – 25, 2013 at the India Exposition Centre, Greater Noida, India, in conjunction with PrintPack India 2013.
According to NPES President Ralph Nappi, the conference program will offer attendees the opportunity to "gain vital information on the state of the economy, new insights into the market and emerging industry trends, and updates on promising business opportunities for the future."
Also supported by the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS), the All Indian Federation of Master Printers Association (AIFMP), and the Indian Newspaper Society (INS), the two-day event will offer an industry-wide update on current trends in the global marketplace. Following a welcome address by Nappi, the opening technical session, "Offset and Digital: Complementing not Competing," will be a panel discussion moderated by InfoTrends Group Director Jim Hamilton and featuring experts from Hewlett-Packard, Goss International, Mitsubishi, and Presstek. It will be followed by afternoon sessions "Making Print Come Alive – Trends in Integrated Marketing," "How to Generate New Revenue and Cost Savings through Automation in Printing and Packaging," and "Ideas and Initiatives for Organization Success." The afternoon will close out with "Hot Technology Trends that You Should Be Watching," a presentation by Hal Hinderliter, Principal at Hal Hinderliter Consulting Services and program coordinator for the annual MUST SEE 'EMS recognition program at the GRAPH EXPO and global PRINT trade shows.
The second day will kick off with another panel discussion on the future of newspaper publishing moderated by Sanat Hazra, technical director for the company that publishes The Times of India. That will be followed by supplier sessions on new developments in press color and waste reduction, trends for newspapers, and "UV Adoption – Myths and Challenges." The afternoon will start off with "Indian Print Media: Geared for Growth!" to be followed by a session on pressroom of the future co-presented by Hal Hinderliter and Jim Hamilton, which will provide "a thorough review of the external drivers impacting the pressroom of the future for commercial printers." The day will conclude with a discussion of new developments in color for flexible package printing and growth opportunities for digital color in packaging and an overview of the Indian printing ink market.
