San Diego, CA - Clearstory and its team of creative digital publishers won two awards from the MGI Applications Gallery at Graph Expo 2012, which took place October 7–10, 2012, in Chicago, IL. Clearstory won first place in the category of Books/Bound Publications for the printing of the Deuce book, and second place in the category of General Commercial (Paper) for an array of marketing materials and business cards.
The materials were printed on the HP Indigo 5500 Digital Press and spot coated on the MGI Jet Varnish. Clearstory produces high-quality products utilizing 4-color process, white ink and foil simulation and special colors. The company uses an array of specialty substrates for photo reproduction and special effects. In addition, it has the versatility to produce personalized pieces in all run lengths.
Mark Michelson, Editor-in-Chief of Printing Impressions, and Jim Hamilton, Group Director at InfoTrends, judged the design submissions.
The winning products were included in the MGI Applications Gallery at Graph Expo. The gallery is a new conference feature that showcased customer-submitted projects.
