London College of Communication at UAL to Host PDF for Production and PDF for Packaging Tracks;
Free on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
Ghent, Belgium - The Ghent Workgroup, known as the GWG to graphic arts professionals around the world, is presenting two high-value seminars on the latest best practices for PDF production in commercial printing and packaging environments on January 23, 2013, compliments of the London College of Communication at the University of the Arts London. Attendance at either or both seminars, taking place in the College's Podium Lecture Theatre, is free, and on a first-come, first-served basis; by emailing [email protected]. callas, Enfocus, and Specle are also holding an information session regarding their products and services, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.
"This is an opportunity for people who work in production to hear directly from, and then talk to, the GWG's PDF industry insiders who are intentionally the same people who write PDF - related code at their day jobs as senior engineers, product developers, and premedia experts," says GWG Chairman David Zwang.

Steve Carter of Phototype, and Christian Blaise of bleuprocess, industry packaging leaders; along with a team of experts including Lieven Plettinck of Esko, Peter Kleinheider of PDF/X Ready, David van Driessche of Four Pees, and Andrew Bailes-Collins of Enfocus; present the latest GWG PDF for Packaging specifications and how they can be utilized to streamline and ensure consistency in packaging design and production workflows across the supply chain. This informative session will focus on the future of PDF files in packaging, and how "Smart Layers" will be used to enhance and drive they way the packaging industry uses PDF files going forward.
