PIA Value of Print Mobile App is in Final Stages

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, - Printing Industries of America, in its continuous efforts to enhance the growth and efficiency of the printing and graphics industry, is in the final stages of developing a mobile application to complement the printed version of the Value of Print Flip-Book.

The Value of Print App users will have convenient access to a live RSS feed and searchable 2011 Print Market Atlas data in addition to all of the information provided in the printed Flip-Book. This information includes facts, statistics, and additional resources to promote the value of print.

The Value of Print App users will have convenient access to all the great statistics of the Flip-book, which includes facts, statistics, and additional resources to promote the value of print. But the app expands on the Flip-book by providing live RSS feeds and a searchable version of the Print Market Atlas. This will allow users to look at print statistics by selecting a location-national, state, or region. They can then look at an overview of the chosen location with shipments, establishments, and employment. Each of these overviews will allow for filtering by market segment and printing process. The results are displayed in a chart or graph format-whichever the user prefers.

"After the success of the Flip-Book, we decided to create a mobile version that contains all the great statistics of the Flip-Book plus helpful RSS feeds and a searchable version of the Print Market Atlas. We believe this will help the printing and graphic arts industry promote what we all know–Print is alive, and our industry will continue to adapt, grow, and prosper," said Lisa Rawa, Vice President of Marketing, Printing Industries of America.
