MGI Premieres JETvarnish 3D at Emballage Show in Paris

MGI Digital Graphic Technology, the digital press and finishing solutions manufacturer, announced that the final production model of the JETvarnish 3D will premiere at Emballage 2012, the international packaging exhibition. Emballage, held every two years in France, will take place November 19-22 at Paris Nord-Villepinte (MGI booth in hall 6, #K130).

Utilizing MGI's award-winning inkjet technology, the JETvarnish 3D provides print service providers (using offset, flexo & digital technologies), a revolutionary solution to maximize brand recognition, visibility and profit margin on printed jobs. The JETvarnish 3D applies spot UV coating for both flat and 3D raised effects (8-100µ of thickness) on runs from one to thousands and more.
 
The JETvarnish 3D's new capabilities produce beautiful, tactile 3D effects that enhance visual appeal and bring a new sensory dimension to all printed projects, the ultimate finishing solution for adding value to jobs and allowing brands to take their messaging to a new level.
 
The packaging market is an ideal fit for the JETvarnish 3D in a multitude of applications, including luxury, cosmetics, jewelry and food/beverage, among others. Meteor DP8700 XL
MGI's flagship multi-substrate digital press able to print on paper, plastics and envelopes. The Meteor DP8700 XL can print on substrates from 70 to 350gsm for paper and 100-400µ for synthetics such as PVC, Polycarbonate, Polyester or Teslin. It features the longest sheet size among production digital presses, up to 330x1020 cm / 13x40" and a print resolution of 3600 dpi/270 lpi.

High performance feeders
KÖRA-PACKMAT, the German subsidiary of the MGI Group, will present a range of industrial feeders dedicated for the demanding applications in the packaging industry. They are able to handle bi-dimensional or tri-dimensional objects, such as cards, samples or USB flash drives. KÖRA-PACKMAT also develops and sells wrapping lines for flat products, including credit cards, SIM cards and invitation cards.
