Dallas –(March, 2004) – - PIA-MidAmerica announced the recipients of scholarships to the GATF/PIA & NAPL’s 2004 Graphic Communications Institute: Premier Leadership and Management Training. The winners were: Brian Bender, Moody Printing & Mail Marketing, Fort Worth, TX; Chip Chebuhar, Padgett Printing, Dallas, TX; Jeffery Harpole, Buchanan Visual Communications, Dallas, TX; Matt Louis, Louis Companies, Arlington, TX; Marcella Seeley, J.C. Penney Company, Plano, TX; Tim Shanahan, Printing Inc., Oklahoma City, OK; Patricia Smithson, Smithson Printing, Kansas City, MO. This intensive management program will be held June 8-12, 2004 at Waukesha County Technical College, Pewaukee, Wisconsin. The scholarships are funded from industry activities such as the annual Nolan Moore Golf Tournament as well as donations to this not-for-profit educational foundation. The scholarships were open to any manager of a PIA-MidAmerica company which covers Kansas, Oklahoma, Western Missouri and Texas. Since its inception in 1995, the Foundation has awarded over $148,000 in scholarships to college students, as well as continuing education grants for industry managers attending GATF/PIA & NAPL’s Management & Leadership Institute.
