Commercial Print House Conducts G7 Integration with Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000 Color Digital Press and Komori Lithrone for Superior Color Consistency
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) and Komori America Corporation today announce that Lithtex NW Printing Solutions (Lithtex NW) has leveraged technologies from both companies to expand its printing capabilities and offer a superior level of color consistency on all print jobs. Installing a Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000 Color Digital Press and a six color Komori Lithrone LSX29, Lithtex NW has conducted G7 integration and training to establish 100 percent color consistency between the offset and digital technologies. In addition, Lithtex NW has realized significant improvement in overall image quality and workflow efficiency, resulting in dramatically reduced waste and faster print speeds.
Lithtex NW was actively evaluating new black and white solutions in 2011 when the owners decided to purchase a bizhub PRO 1200. The Konica Minolta sales team introduced Lithtex NW to the bizhub PRESS C8000 Color Digital Press shortly thereafter, although they were currently happy with their fleet of color production units. Several months down the road, Lithtex NW acquired another print location and determined that the bizhub PRESS C8000 would allow them to achieve better efficiency, more reliable color output, and a wider range of substrates handling, in addition to providing color output at the new location. Coupled with G7 Master Qualification and training, the new digital press would achieve these objectives and bring improved color consistency to Lithtex NW's entire operations.
With G7 Master Qualification, Lithtex NW can now offer both short and long-run print jobs with consistent color output across all technologies and both print locations. The recently established partnership between Komori and Konica Minolta, as well as the G7 integration and training on both the bizhub PRESS C8000 and Komori LSX629, gives LIthtex NW the confidence and capabilities they need to promise, and deliver, reliable color output.
"With the new functionality provided by the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000 and Komori Lithrone technologies, we are able to have a more aggressive marketing approach than ever before by guaranteeing our customers not only fast turnaround times and a host of new capabilities, but also an unmatched level of color consistency on all jobs," said John Busch, Owner, Lithtex NW. "The G7 Master Qualification brings us even more confidence in this competitive marketplace. It's one thing to say you have good color, but it's another thing to be able to back it up. We are excited about our new partnership with both Konica Minolta and Komori and look forward to how these technologies will further grow our business."
With the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000, Lithtex NW also has a broader range of finishing options as well as more flexible media handling. Lithtex NW realizes faster turnaround times on all print jobs and more efficient overall workflow across the entire print fleet. In addition, the Komori and Konica Minolta technologies have reduced Lithtex NW's overall waste by nearly 50 percent due to a tremendous reduction in make-ready sheets.
"The bizhub PRESS C8000 is truly an ideal solution for high-volume print service providers such as Lithtex NW and Konica Minolta's new partnership with Komori that combines our innovative technologies allows us to offer customers only the highest-levels of performance and quality," said Kevin Kern, Senior Vice President Marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. "Providing G7 Master Qualification for Lithtex NW raises the bar in color consistency for their business and shows why customers can count on Konica Minolta for not only the leading innovation to keep them competitive, but also the training and services that allow them to take their performance and quality to the next level."
"The success Lithtex NW is experiencing truly embodies our strategic partnership with Konica Minolta," says Susan Baines, Director of Marketing for Komori America Corporation. "In today's highly competitive print landscape, it is the companies that achieve higher levels of efficiency and productivity throughout their entire operation that will thrive. We believe that the synergies of Konica Minolta and Komori provide the winning ticket to help printers achieve these goals."
