Komori Features Perfecting At Drupa; Carter Says Graph Expo 04 Will Follow Suit
Press release from the issuing company
(March 1, 2004 Rolling Meadows, IL) Komori Corporation released the list of equipment they will be exhibiting at DRUPA 2004, and Komori America Corporation President and COO Stephan Carter is very pleased with the announcement. “As is typical, there has been a lot of misinformation circulating about what various manufacturers will be featuring at DRUPA 2004. By announcing our exhibition presses, we can put a lot of rumors to rest and visitors can come prepared to see the technologies that are best suited for their businesses.”
Carter notes that Komori has been continually updating their press product portfolio over the past several years. The only new press making its debut at DRUPA 2004 is the newly redesigned Lithrone S40 Super Perfector. The Lithrone S40SP will feature many of the award winning technologies of the Lithrone S40 and should be available for delivery within the next twelve to eighteen months. “Komori has never been an exhibition-driven manufacturer, designing equipment to coincide with international trade exhibitions. Throughout our 80 year history, we have developed products in response to market demands, and introduced them only after they have been thoroughly field tested,” says Carter.
Komori will exhibit eight presses in their 2000 sq. meter booth, with a major focus on perfecting technology. As visitors to Graph Expo 03 learned, Komori has totally redesigned the Lithrone perfector mechanism. The new perfector design features the Lithrone double diameter cylinder configuration, even at the perfector, and sets the standard for precision sheet handling and smooth paper flow. This new perfector design is available on all full and half-size Lithrone presses.
“Komori now offers a full complement of state of the art perfector options, from the small format Spica through the Lithrone S40 Super Perfector. We feel we have the best perfector solutions in the industry. In fact, since we introduced our new convertible perfector design, we cannot keep our perfector presses in stock due to the overwhelming order demand,” says Carter.
Carter states printers who are unable to attend DRUPA will have the opportunity to see Komori’s perfector options at Graph Expo 04. An eight color Lithrone S40 perfector and the small format Spica 28 convertible perfector press, making its North American debut, will be featured at Graph Expo 04, October 10-13, 2004, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
