Press release from the issuing company

Provides Enhanced Automation and Greater Reliability

Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of sheetfed and web offset printing presses, today announced that Lawton Printers, a long-established yet growing, Orlando, FL. printing company recently installed a five-color Komori Lithrone SX29 (LSX529) to better serve its growing client base. Lawton Printers recently moved into a 33,000 sq.-ft. facility with added equipment and expanded warehouse space. While the installation of the new Komori press is providing the company enhanced print capabilities, it is also helping the company achieve many of its business goals.

"We serve a broad mix of clients both local and nationwide," said Kimberly Lawton Koon, the fifth generation owner of Lawton Printers. "Our company prides itself on combining technological innovation with traditional craftsmanship to produce materials that bring added value to clients. We needed a press that would provide enhanced automation and color management from prepress as well as give us more reliability as we continue to grow. Komori's LSX529 fit every requirement."

Just like many other printing companies, Lawton Printers is seeing an increase in shorter-run jobs. The LSX529 provides the advanced automation to significantly reduce makeready time, which allows Lawton Printers to significantly improve job turnaround time and be more competitive in the market. The LSX529's print density control-spectrophotometer also provides Lawton Printers with enhanced color matching and automatic standardization.

"Lawton Printers has a passionate and innovative team that is always looking for advanced solutions when it comes to equipment, techniques and new products," said Jacki Hudmon, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for Komori America. "We are confident the LSX529 offers all the capabilities needed to supports these goals."
