Demonstrating Integrated Workflow, New Flexo Print Technologies
xpedx, the leading business-to-business distribution company in North America, will exhibit its flexography expertise at LabelExpo Americas 2012, Sept. 11-13 at Chicago's Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
Known as one of the largest distributors of offset and digital printing supplies, xpedx will demonstrate its commitment to flexography in a time of great change in the industry, said Dennis Killion, director, marketing-Graphics, xpedx.
"Printers are embracing changes to the industry as they meet customer demands, and these transitions can be eased with strong customer support so that investments pay for themselves quickly," Killion said. "xpedx is unique because we offer so many integrated products and support them with full service. We are helping printers learn how they can meet current and future demand, streamline workflow, improve productivity, and enhance the impact of flexo and digital offerings."
xpedx's booth (#3608) will feature both MacDermid Lava and Kodak Flexcel NX flexo plate technologies through eye-opening printed examples. Two kiosks will play continuous video loops showing both the Kodak and MacDermid platemaking process as well. Supporting the plate technology, xpedx will be running live label and packaging proofs with the Epson WT 7900 inkjet proofer and performing prototype finishing on a Kongsberg iCut table.
Additionally, xpedx experts will be on hand to explain how they manage the flexography process for clients, from system integration and proofing to color management and G7 certification.
"xpedx's capabilities in label and package printing continue to evolve with the industry and we are excited about the resources and value that we can bring to this segment," said Killion. "We are eager to share that development at LabelExpo Americas and demonstrate our expertise with all the print industry experts who will be there."
