INX to Sponsor PrintGuard OSHA Course in St. Louis

Press release from the issuing company

INX International Ink Co. has sponsored various PrintGuard safety programs since 1999 and will do so again later this month.  In conjunction with the Printing Industries of St. Louis (PISTL), a half-day OSHA Compliance Crash Course will be held on Wednesday, July 25 from 8 am to 12 Noon.

The seminar will be conducted by Brian Rutherford, a nationally recognized expert with 25 years of safety experience in OSHA compliance and risk management for printing and publishing, manufacturing and construction companies.  Mr. Rutherford, who doubles as the PIA MidAmerica/PISTL Regulatory Manager and PrintGuard Coordinator, also developed the first 10-hour and 30-hour PrintGuard general industry classes that are specific to the graphic communications field.

The OSHA Compliance Crash Course will include a written safety agenda checkup so all attendees are asked to bring their plans.  This segment will cover what must be in writing, critical items that sometimes are overlooked and important elements that OSHA will check during an inspection.  Safety training processes and compliance will also be discussed.

“Printers today must deal with a myriad of safety concerns.  With all of the new and existing regulations, increased inspections and contradictory guidance, it has become increasingly complicated,” acknowledged Rutherford.  “This course will cover many important facets and we can assist you in satisfying the legal compliance requirements.”

The half-day session will be held at PISTL’s offices, located at 915 Fee Fee Road on the west side of St. Louis near Interstate 270.  There is no cost for PISTL members and only $55 for non-members, with breakfast included.  To register or for more information, email Brenda Moore at: [email protected] or call her at (314) 962-6780, extension 218.
