The Printing Industry Association of the South, Inc. (PIAS) held elections for the Board of Directors during their annual convention, held from June 24-27, 2012 at the Hilton SanDestin Beach Resort in Destin, Florida.  Named Chairman of the Board for 2012-2013 was Mr. Craig Welch, President of Welch Printing Company in Louisville, KY.

Officers elected:

            Ms. Tonya Spiers of Knight Abbey Comm. Printing & Direct Mail in Biloxi, Mississippi was elected First Vice Chairwoman.

            Mr. Hale Hawkins of Lewisburg Printing Company in Lewisburg, Tennessee was elected Second Vice Chairman.

            Mr. Alan Davis of BPI Media Group in Boaz, Alabama was elected Secretary/Treasurer.

            Mr. John Shadden of Starkey Printing Company in Chattanooga, Tennessee was elected Immediate Past Chairman.

Directors elected:

            Mr. David Howe of Parris Printing Company in Nashville, Tennessee

            Mr. Doug Hederman of Hederman Brothers in Jackson, Mississippi

Directors re-elected:

            Mr. Tommy McEwen of McGraphics, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee

            Mr. Forrest Adair of McComb Printing Company in McComb, Mississippi

            Mr. Matt Merrick of The Merrick Printing Company in Louisville, Kentucky

            Mr. Nick Simon of Publishers Press in Shepherdsville, Kentucky

All officers will serve a one-year term, while the directors will serve three-year terms.
