Press release from the issuing company
Prestige-Pak, a leading wide-web flexographic printer located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, has purchased a SpectraLab on-press color measurement system from Advanced Vision Technology (AVT), the world leader in print process control, quality assurance and color control for the packaging, labels, folding cartons and commercial print markets.
Prestige-Pak serves the flexographic printing and laminating needs of the snack food, confectionary, bakery, medical, pet food and dry goods industries. They will place SpectraLab as an add-on module on one of two PrintVision/Jupiter Automatic Inspection Systems that were installed on their flexographic presses in 2009 and 2010.
SpectraLab is the only ISO compliant spectrophotometer available on the market for the on press, in-line measurement of absolute color and density values of color critical packaging. AVT’s SpectraLab is an extremely robust, ground breaking device that provides a true spectrophotometer measurement of the printed colors on virtually all flexible substrates.
Vince Kuber, President of Prestige-Pak commented: “We went with AVT because we are familiar with them and are very happy with our customer service experience. In addition we didn’t need to reinvent the wheel because SpectraLab is naturally integrated with our existing systems from AVT. Our expectations are increased quality and productivity as well as being able to provide added value to our clients.”
Commenting on the sale, Amir Dekel, Corporate VP Marketing of AVT said: “For AVT to be recognized by one of the leading flexographic printing companies in the United States is important for our company. It is confirmation that our SpectraLab state-of-the-art technology is of the highest standards of the industry. AVT’s SpectraLab will guarantee that Prestige-Pak’s flexible packaging output will deliver real added value to their clients.”
