On June 5, the contract signing ceremony for an UNISET extension for Jiefangjun Bao Printing Factory was held in Beijing.

Only one month after drupa, manroland web systems and manroland Greater China have signed this new web offset order with Jiefangjun Bao Printing Factory. After a GEOMAN contract for Brilliant Star Printing Services Ltd. this is the second Chinese order for a web offset press shortly after drupa and the third contract in Greater China this year. manroland web systems GmbH generated orders worth 70 million euro during drupa in May 2012. This impressively shows customers’ trust in manroland web systems as a leading manufacturer of web offset printing systems worldwide. 

One of the most important printing companies in China
Jiefangjun Bao Printing Factory was founded in 1956. Today it is one of the biggest and most important printing companies in China. Besides their own newspapers like Jiefangjun Bao, Zhongguo Guofangbao, Zhongguo Minbing, and Military Correspondent, the printing plant also prints CCTV Paper, The Mirror, People's Armed Police Report, Beijing Youth Daily, and in addition to that more than hundred newspapers for ministries, army and local editions. Due to highest printing quality, style of the products, product range, and its influence Jiefangjun Bao Printing Factory has achieved a very good reputation in the Chinese printing industry.

Jiefangjun Bao Printing Factory has started the cooperation with manroland’s web division 26 years ago in 1986. Today, Jiefangjun Bao Printing factory works with a multitude of web offset presses from manroland including a POLYMAN, several UNISET presses featuring 70,000 and 75,000, a CROMOMAN and a ROLAND 700 sheetfed press. With the new contract, Jiefangjun Bao Printing Factory adds one printing tower to an existing UNISET in order to meet the increased requirements for business development. After the extension, the production capacity of the higher speed UNISET press will be increased by at least 30%. Output and printing parameters of the press will significantly improve.
