Roularta Produces Latest "Messenger" from manroland Web Systems

Press release from the issuing company

"We have every reason to be proud of this printing quality" declared Roularta Printing’s Managing Director William Metsu and Production Manager Peter Leroy at drupa in Düsseldorf, while holding the Messenger in their hands, the customer newspaper of manroland web systems.

The Belgian print house Roularta, based in Roeselare in Western Belgium, printed the latest Messenger edition, the product catalogue and the Luxury Edition. Metsu praised the good cooperation in the project. Three Roularta presses produced this Messenger edition from manroland web systems, the careful choice of papers ensures optimum gloss. The newspaper section was printed on a COLORMAN 4-2 that made headlines in 2009 with a unique configuration of 4 webs, 4 towers, and 4 driers. The product catalog cover was printed on 200 gram UPM Finesse on a ROTOMAN with UV coating; the catalog itself, as well as the Luxury Edition, on a 72-page LITHOMAN. For the ad motifs 90 gram UPM Star was chosen, “for maximum brilliance of the exclusive products in the sample”, explains Metsu. Given these glimpses, one can begin to imagine the facility’s impressive pressroom equipment which also comprises a 48-page commercial press and another newspaper press as well.

The previously mentioned COLORMAN 4-2 is equipped for extremely flexible coldset or heatset printing. William Metsu was convinced from the start: “We achieve virtually the same quality on the COLORMAN with heatset drier as on our heatset presses.” The press backs up his assertion. Its printing quality is spot on, even on gloss-coated or SC paper, a decisive criterion for Metsu in selecting the heatset COLORMAN.

The Messenger package includes the newspaper with news about the industry, a print sample with ads of luxury products and the product catalogue of manroland web systems. The package can be ordered at [email protected]
