As the 60th Anniversary of Printing Industries Alliance’s popular tradition of holding the annual Franklin Event approaches, more and more companies are signing on to sponsor the Sept. 19th gala at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers (5:30-10:00 pm).
Twenty-three firms have committed to date with expectations of another full house in the fall. Among them are Platinum sponsors: Brown Printing Company; Eliezer, A Marubeni Company; Hearst Corporation; Hewlett Packard; HudsonYards; Konica Minolta Business Solutions; Pictorial Offset Corporation; Publishers Press; Quad/Graphics; Sandy Alexander; and Xerox Corporation. Gold sponsors include Blanchard Systems, Inc.; Blue Ocean Worldwide; Case Paper; Continental Web Press, Inc.; Dalim Software GmbH; Design Distributors; Graphic Paper, Inc; HIFLEX Corporation of North America; Industrial Color Brands; Premium Color Graphics; Reliable Paper Recycling; and Trend Offset Printing.
Reserved Platinum tables of ten, normally $5,000, and Gold tables of five, normally $2,500, will be discounted by 10% upon commitment, with payment due within 30 days, if made by June 30. After that date, full prices will apply until the Sept. 7 deadline sponsorships ends. Individual tickets ($350 each) may be purchased before the actual event or at the door, but advance registration is strongly recommended to ensure a seat.
A stellar roster of recipients will be honored this year, headlined by top honors of the Franklin Award for Distinguished Service to Howard Draft, Executive Chairman, Draftfcb. Recipients of the Power of Communications Award: Thomas Saggiomo, President & CEO, DG3 (for Printing); Kit Taylor, Chief Operating Officer, New York Media, Inc. (for Publishing) and Paul Nicolson, Senior Vice President, Production and Technology, Inc. (for Advertising). The John Peter Zenger Medal will be bestowed upon Dwight E.
