Neenah Paper Exhibits in National Stationery Show

Press release from the issuing company

Neenah Paper  is participating in the 2012 National Stationery Show (NSS), the world’s most comprehensive collection of stationery and related lifestyle products, from May 20 – 23, 2012 in New York. In addition to exhibiting at NSS, Neenah Paper is donating paper to support the 24th Annual LOUIE Awards, a ceremony held May 20 in conjunction with NSS that recognizes creative excellence within the greeting card and social stationery industry.

Established by the Greeting Card Association (GCA) in 1988, the LOUIE Awards has been an industry institution since its inception. Last year, the awards were revamped to include several new categories in addition to greeting cards. For the third year in a row, Neenah Paper is sponsoring this national competition by donating selections from the CLASSIC CREST® Papers line, including:

  • Call for Entry
  • LOUIE Awards Invitation
  • LOUIE Awards Program

“These events are fun and exciting for Neenah and the entire greeting card industry,” says Ellen Bliske, brand manager for Neenah Paper. “The NSS provides the perfect opportunity to showcase all of our paper and envelope options to designers, printers, sales reps as well as other potential consumers and celebrating the best of the best at the LOUIE Awards is the icing on the cake for the whole week.”

Neenah Paper is on the advisory committee for the NSS and serves on the Board of Directors for the GCA. According to Brad Cannaday, Neenah Paper’s national accounts sales manager who represents the paper company in both of these roles, “I am honored to serve in both of these capacities on behalf of Neenah Paper as we continue to look for ways to grow and innovate in the greeting card industry. We have all worked hard to make this year’s events truly special and we’re excited to share them with people who care so much about paper, quality and what they can create.”

With over 800 exhibiting companies featuring more than 10,000 product lines, the NSS attracts manufacturers, buyers, sales reps, designers, licensors, distributors, trade/consumer press, manufacturing suppliers and more than 11,000 buyers. Neenah’s booth, open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily throughout the show, will be located in the Supply Side section and will highlight the following:

  • CRANE’S LETTRA® Papers – recently expanded to include a new, mid-weight 90 lb. cover and a new HP-certified digital finish. These additions provide designers and printers with another paper alternative in a different weight and the option to print CRANE’S LETTRA digitally for the first time. They also can now combine letterpress with digital on the same project, allowing designers and printers to showcase the feel and texture of paper with multiple methods including engraving, offset, embossing and foil stamping. The enhancements are available in all three colors of the brand, including Fluorescent White, Pearl White and Ecru White.
  • The CLASSIC Brands “Perfect 10” – last fall’s refresh of the four CLASSIC Papers brands, including CLASSIC CREST®, CLASSIC® Linen, CLASSIC COLUMNS® and CLASSIC® Laid Papers, provides a simplified platform of premium papers that are complete, consistent and compatible. They feature ten common colors, or the Perfect 10, offered across all six paper finishes of the four brands; new Eggshell and Stipple finishes added to the popular CLASSIC CREST® brand; and heavier cover weights and an extensive digital offering are available with all of the Perfect 10 colors and finishes. All four brands also include common green certifications, including FSC® certified, Green-e certified, made Carbon Neutral Plus – and recycled papers that are Green Seal™ Certified and made with a minimum of 30 and 100 percent post-consumer fiber.
  • ASTROBRIGHTS® and ROYAL Brands – Neenah recently added ASTROBRIGHTS Papers, the market leading brand in the bright, vivid color segment, and the complimentary textures in the Royal brand family, adding scale and breadth to its Fine Paper portfolio.
