Press release from the issuing company
Pixfizz launches a Cloud-to-Print solution that enables users to create multiple customized storefronts and products for their clients on any web-enabled device is drawing attention at its Hall 4, D23 stand.
“Visitors are very keen to see the level of flexibility possible with our highly responsive Cloud-to-Print platform,” comments Stephen Thorpe, Pixfizz Managing Director. “The state of the art solution with multiple server locations and load based infrastructure offers unparalleled performance and scalability. This means customers can become more innovative with a wide range of photo applications as well as cope more effectively with the seasonal nature of the photo market. As business grows, so does the cloud. This flexibility in turn, enables customers to differentiate themselves more competitively.
Multiple Customisation
The unique cloud-based web-to-print solution for photo applications allows print service providers (PSPs) to create and launch multiple customized storefronts that run on any platform, including tablets.
By leveraging the latest web technologies and the benefits of cloud computing, Pixfizz enables PSPs to take advantage of optimized returns on investment.
There is no need to download software or purchase and maintain servers. And as the Pixfizz SaaS model is based on a subscription, it becomes an operating expense rather than a capital expense.
At drupa, Pixfizz is also introducing a new set of go-to-market packages that target specific market segments with high margin opportunities. Each simple to set-up pack includes storefronts optimized for a particular application workflow with fast customization for rapid start-up.
“Cloud computing is bringing a new era of productivity to the printing and graphic arts industry,” states Mr Thorpe. “It is responding to three major trends transforming the communication landscape - the explosion of digital photos, the rapid rise of the mobile internet which is being driven by the proliferation of smart phones, tablets and wireless broadband connections and the desire for people to share memories and events largely online, but also in print, using an easily accessible platform.”
Lowering the costs
Key benefits of the Cloud-to-Print platform are a low cost base, open-ended and scalable platform with high-value printed photo applications. Instead of purchasing software and computing power, companies subscribe to Pixfizz as a SaaS, enabling customers to grow their business without boundaries.
Susan Moore, president of DPI, Atlanta says: “Pixfizz’s solution gives us the flexibility we need to quickly roll out customized storefronts for our customers. It also provides us with excellent reliability even when we have 4000 orders for photo books in a single day.”
Throughout Drupa in Dusseldorf, Pixfizz is demonstrating its capabilities using an iPad to take pictures that are then printed, processed and sent to the visitors’ addresses.
