Press release from the issuing company
Bell and Howell, a leading provider of solutions and services for paper-based and digital messaging, has announced support for USPS Customer Supplier Agreements (CSAs) in its BCC Mail Manager Full Service and BCC Mail Manager solutions at no additional charge to customers. With this new functionality, mailers will be further equipped and ready for future Full-Service Intelligent Mail barcode (IMb™) requirements.
“We are proud to be the first presort software provider to fully support Customer Supplier Agreements well in advance of the IMb requirement in January 2013,” said Chris Lien, vice president of software marketing for Bell and Howell. “Our CSA support, combined with the unique ability to update Mail.dat files within our popular BCC Mail Manager product, enables our customers to be ready for the Full-Service IMb when it becomes required. By preparing now, our customers can take early advantage of current IMb postage discounts and mailpiece tracking through our Track-N-Trace service.”
CSAs are specialized postage sortation, container separation and induction requirements negotiated between mailers and the United States Postal Service. Supporting the unique sortation capabilities can be challenging for businesses, and BCC Mail Manager makes required First-Class mail preparation easy. CSAs are also often required for advanced First-Class mail preparation, especially in time-sensitive mailings such as statements and invoices. Bell and Howell’s CSA support facilitates use of existing CSA agreements and compliance with Full-Service IMb well before the enforcement date to ensure BCC Mail Manager customers’ continued success.
CSA support is included free for all Mail Manager Full Service customers and is bundled with the First-Class Mail Palletization option for BCC Mail Manager customers. A special Bell and Howell webinar that explains Customer Supplier Agreements has been recorded.
