PRIMIR Summer Meeting to Reveal Non-Print Revenue Opportunities

Press release from the issuing company

PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, at its Summer Meeting, coming June 20-22, 2012 to the Hilton Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, Maryland, will reveal key findings from two of its next-to-be-released research studies.

The first timely session will focus on the new PRIMIR study, "Evaluating and Understanding Non-Print Revenues of N.A. Printing Companies," prepared by State Street Consultants.  Following the presentation, attendees will gain additional value from the research results as several regional printer panelists discuss the specific areas they are exploring—and share successes and failures.  Next, participants will discuss how they might address the changes, challenges and opportunities identified in the report, and later tour nearby EU Services for a close-up look at how that firm expanded its business by adding non-print services.

According to Martha Issa, Business Development Director for Unisource Worldwide, Inc., "As the industry evolves from businesses that provide traditional printing services to those that now offer integrated marketing services, our goal is to make sure we evolve with our customers and offer them innovative solutions. This PRIMIR study allows us to identify and verify areas of opportunity where PSPs are expanding outside the typical print job."

The information-packed program will also provide three additional sessions including a presentation of the PRIMIR study, "Packaging: Evaluation of Vertical Markets & Key Applications," by Kevin Karstedt and Jeff Wettersten, principals at Karstedt Partners, LLC; a current "State of the Printing Industry" outlook from Joseph Truncale, Ph.D., President & CEO of NAPL; and, a "drupa 2012 Review" by Ralph Nappi, President of NPES.

PRIMIR 2012 Summer Meeting attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in task forces focused on new research to be completed in 2012 and beyond.

PRIMIR hosts several meetings each year, providing a forum for attendees to network among their peers while learning the findings from the latest research produced for PRIMIR.  Members of PRIMIR and NPES, as well as prospective members, are all welcome to attend the 2012 Summer Meeting.  Business development managers, product managers, market research analysts and others who are tasked with following and formulating data and trends about the graphic communications and packaging/converting industries will find the essential information presented at PRIMIR meetings beneficial.
