RSA Releases WebCRD Dynamics Desktop VDP

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester Software Associates (RSA), provider of production print workflow software solutions for in-plants and corporate print centers, today released WebCRD Dynamics Desktop, a cost effective composition and variable data publishing (VDP) option that provides everything in-plants need for common single file, VDP applications at a low entry-level price. WebCRD Dynamics Desktop adds to RSA's multiple VDP offerings as a module of its award-winning WebCRD web-to-print solution developed specifically for corporate in-plants.

WebCRD Dynamics Desktop utilizes variable data templates created with FusionPro VDP Designer, the industry-leading variable data publishing software. Templates are available for ordering via WebCRD by users from anywhere at any time.  WebCRD Dynamics Desktop is ideal for customized jobs such as business cards and stationery, with jobs produced automatically in WebCRD's Production module.

WebCRD now offers four levels of VDP to fit the needs and budget of in-plant print operations.

  • Template Based Ordering (TBO) - the basic option included in WebCRD that uses Adobe PDF Forms for simple VDP templates.
  • WebCRD Dynamics Desktop - A full-featured robust VDP option that provides everything in-plants need for common single document file and occasional multi-file VDP applications at a low entry-level price of $7,500. Example applications include posters, business cards, newsletters, flyers and stationery.
  • WebCRD Dynamics - WebCRD's flagship VDP offering, fully integrated and automated for production of all VDP applications for $15,000. Example applications include the types mentioned above as well as postcards, personalized documents, marketing collateral and longer run personalized documents.
  • XMPie Integration - WebCRD's XMPie Integration enables customers to add templates created in XMPie to the WebCRD catalog. Users can order, configure and produce these items within WebCRD. The XMPie Integration is available for $5,000 and requires XMPie uStore, available directly from XMPie.

Vincent Tutino, Senior Product Manager, stated,"WebCRD Dynamics Desktop fills a need for in-plant customers that produce single-record VDP jobs on a regular basis, or occasionally run multiple-record applications. They have full access to all of the powerful features of WebCRD Dynamics, and the same rich WebCRD user interface at an entry-level price. As VDP volume and personalized application needs grow, customers can upgrade to the high production version of WebCRD Dynamics."

WebCRD is the leading web-to print solution designed for corporate in-plants. It automates print centers in all industries, including education, healthcare, insurance, finance, manufacturing and government.
