The Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) received an official notice from Governor Mark Dayton proclaiming the week of April 22, 2012 Minnesota Printer’s Week. Members of PIM will be celebrating the best printers and people in the industry at their annual Star of Excellence Awards Banquet on April 26th at the McNamara Alumni Center, U of M, Minneapolis.
Print communication touches nearly every individual in the State of Minnesota every day and hundreds of thousands of people beyond Minnesota through books, magazines, newspaper, technical manuals, brochures, leaflets, flyers postcards, tabloids, forms, maps, information publications, newsletters, invitations, mailers and advertising.
“We are grateful that the Governor has chosen to recognize our industry,” said David Radziej, President, PIM. “Graphic arts and communications firms in Minnesota contribute significantly to the State’s economy employing over 26,000 individuals.
The www.chooseprint.org campaign is one way PIM promotes “print” to the public as an effective and environmentally responsible means of communication.
