Brandimage Helps Cincinnati Park Board Brand "Butterflies of the World"

Press release from the issuing company

Brandimage, one of the world's leading design firms and part of Schawk, Inc., offering fully integrated brand development services designed to deliver meaningful brand experiences for consumers, announced that its Cincinnati office, in an ongoing partnership with the Cincinnati Park Board, has designed the identity and integrated communications system for "On Wings of Harmony," the 2012 Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show featuring Butterflies of the World.

"On Wings of Harmony" will feature 16,000 vibrant, colorful butterflies that will arrive in Cincinnati from every continent on Earth (with the exception of Antarctica). They will be in free flight throughout the showroom, often fluttering together through the ribs of a 10-foot recycled aluminum globe, which will be the centerpiece in the showroom during the annual Butterfly Show. Now in its 17th year, Butterflies of the World will run from April 21 - June 24, 2012, in the Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park.

"Brandimage is honored to be one of the Supporting Sponsors of the Butterfly Show," said Tim Murphy, managing director of Brandimage's Cincinnati office. "In a time when cultural and educational organizations are challenged to have their messages heard, the power of design to create compelling brand experiences has become absolutely critical to their success."

"The annual Butterfly Show breaks attendance records year after year, and that's because it is recognized as one of the world's very best," said Willie F. Carden, Jr., director of Cincinnati Parks. "Additionally, because it is a family event of the highest quality, it brings outstanding sponsor partners -- like Brandimage -- to participate in bringing enjoyment and education to children and families throughout the region. We are very grateful for their generous support of this magnificent world-class event."

"Brandimage's design strategy for 'On Wings of Harmony' reflects the international aspect of the butterfly show," said Don Childs, vice president, executive creative director of Brandimage. "This is the first time the Butterfly Show is featuring butterflies from six world continents at once, so our idea needed to represent a broader context. The 'Wings of Harmony' theme is communicated through the globe symbol with vibrant, swirling, multi-color butterflies representing the celebration of multicultural diversity."

Added Murphy, "Brandimage feels a creative responsibility to engage with the community through design and encourages collaborative partnerships to strengthen and further position Cincinnati as the mecca for branding and design."
