3 Sigma Hosts USDA and Ohio Development Officials

Press release from the issuing company

Officials from the US Department of Agriculture and Ohio Rural Development offices recently toured 3 Sigma Corporation, a leading supplier of specialty custom adhesive and top-coated materials for the pressure-sensitive label industry.  Visiting the company, to view the results from a recent $2.25 million USDA Business & Industry loan guarantee, were USDA Business and Cooperative Programs Director Judith Canales and Ohio Rural Development Director J. Anthony Logan.  The funds enabled 3 Sigma to finance the purchase, transportation and installation of a 78-inch wide aqueous coater.

Ms. Canales, reflecting on the plant visit, said: “Our whole purpose with business and industry loans and guarantees is to stimulate rural economies.  Moreover, a top priority is enabling manufacturing and production to remain in and return to the United States.  Our true value is to ensure that companies like 3 Sigma are able to stay in their communities and grow.”  3 Sigma president Tony Rowley also commented: “The addition of our new coater will effectively double our capacity, and we expect to add several jobs as a direct result.  The USDA loan guarantee made that possible.”

Since 1980, 3 Sigma has been a fast-growing, resourceful innovator of specialty top-coating and pressure-sensitive adhesive coated products.  3 Sigma offers expertise in solvent, emulsion, and hot melt technologies, to provide the optimum solution for any label need.  Quality teams monitor and inspect material throughout the manufacturing process according to ISO 9001:2008 guidelines, to ensure that 3 Sigma customers receive the best label stock available.  For additional information, log on to www.3sigma.cc, or call 937-440-3400 or 800-347-3091.
