Russian Communication Ministry Hosts Sinapse Print Simulators Seminar

Press release from the issuing company

Professor Tsyganenko, Managing Director of the Printing and Media Department at Continuing Professional Education division of the FAPMC is working with Sinapse Print Simulators of France to bring this new training technology to the attention of the Russian Print Industry and Education.

The Sinapse simulators – like flight simulators for printers- bring the advantages of simulation-based training to the printing and packaging industries.  These include the possibility to make mistakes and practice problem solving on the simulator. This accelerates learning as well as providing major saving in equipment, energy and materials.

As a modern training tool, the simulators can also be used as part of a Distributed Learning System, in which each trainee works on their own site (or workstation) and the instructor can review, from a centralized access the high-level group results as reviewing individual efforts.

Installed in more than 45 countries (including some in Russia), the simulators are also “multi-lingual”, and speech-enabled, and can be used to teach technical terms and practice understanding them in other languages.

The two day seminar will be the opportunity to discover the simulators for Sheetfed (used in the WorldSkills Olympics), Heatset, Newspaper, Flexography and Packaging Gravure.

The presentations will combine overviews of the Russian Graphic Education system, the simulators and the ways both could interact.  All Simulators will be demonstrated, and attendees will have the opportunity for “hands-on” experience.

“We are excited by the opportunity to exchange ideas and technology with the well-respected Russian Graphic Education and Industry experts” said Peter Herman, President of Sinapse Print Simulators. “The wide variety of applications and the extensive network of educational centers  in Russia are echoed by the variety of Print Simulators and the Distributed Learning Possibilities”.

Sinapse is represented in Russia by Enn Kerner, an Estonian Consultant, and a former student at Moscow State University of Printing Arts. He will be joined at the conference by Peter Herman and Thierry Mack, President and Product Manager for Sinapse Print Simulators.
