On the heels of its hugely successful World Tour last year, WoodWing kicked off its Next Wave Tour with a well-received pilot event in Amsterdam on January 24. The Next Wave Tour is a global series of free local events organized in collaboration with local partners. The events feature speakers from local partners and publishing customers, Adobe, and WoodWing. The sessions are designed for magazine and newspaper publishers, corporates and agencies who wish to prepare for the next steps in the evolution of digital publishing.

120 visitors at the pilot event in Amsterdam
Initially targeted at 75 attendees, the event in Amsterdam eventually attracted 120 visitors from publishers, corporates and agencies. The highly-rated event was sponsored by PubliQare, a WoodWing Gold Partner based in The Netherlands. It featured a customer case study by Staci van Schagen from Online & Business Technology at WPG Uitgevers, a renowned Dutch publisher that specializes in magazines and books. Also on the agenda was a review of the state of publishing by WoodWing CEO Janssen, a demonstration of WoodWing´s multi-channel publishing system Enterprise by WoodWing´s Evangelist Victor Cardoso, a demonstration by Paul Van Keeken, EMEA Marketing Manager from Adobe, and a session on HTML store customizations by Pieter van Helvoirt, media consultant at PubliQare.
The Next Wave Tour continues in the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Asia
Throughout the year, the tour will continue with stops at major publishing hubs in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Not all cities and locations are fixed yet, but will soon be published at http://nextwave.woodwing.com.
