Xitron and Douthitt Demonstrate CTS Workflow At ISS

Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management software and workflow solutions and Douthitt Corporation,the world’s leader in vacuum and exposure frame technology announced that the Navigator SPR RIP Workflow for the CTS Digital Screen Imager will demonstrated at the ISS Long Beach Show, January 20-22 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Booth 1136.

Navigator SPR Workflow supports the CTS (computer-to-screen) Digital Screen Imager designed for printers requiring fast, high quality screens. Navigator SPR Workflow is based on Xitron’s powerful and robust Navigator Harlequin RIP workflow with features including:

  • High performance Harlequin RIP core
  • CTS Digital Screen Imager support
  • Ability to accept PDF and PostScript™ files
  • Line screens up to 75 lpi
  • User controllable job management and tracking capabilities
  • Integrated on-screen soft-proofing

The Navigator SPR RIP Workflow includes Mac and PC client software and support for the CTS Digital Screen Imager. Additional clients are available as well as the ability to support multiple CTS Digital Screen Imagers from a single workflow.

The Navigator SPR workflow incorporates sophisticated on-screen soft-proofing tools that allow the user to see the final processed job. Included is the ability to select the substrate color and to define any color as an opaque, such as a white underbase, so jobs can be viewed accurately on colored substrates.

The integrated soft-proofing viewer is adjustable from 5%-800% magnification, allowing the user to inspect the file in a processed format. Jobs can be viewed as a composite or any combination of single or multiple separations.
