One of the most recent orders was sold to the China Soft Packaging Group, who is striving to become “King of Film.”, They have purchased 9 slitter rewinders from GOEBEL Schneid- und Wickelsysteme GmbH. These  units were specially designed to be compatible with their most advanced German BOPP production line. 6 of them range from 8.5 to 9 meters wide and have been installed/are to be installed soon. The running speed of the units can reach 1,500m/min. There are another 3 units (11 meters in width) to be installed early in 2012. The manufacturing requirements of the China Soft Packaging Group are that the units must be the “the fastest (525m/min), the widest (10.4m) and the most advanced” BOPP orienting line. Need not to say, this breakthrough is also a challenge to the compatible auxiliary machines. GOEBEL developed a dedicated slitter rewinder for this production line. (11 meters wide with a speed that can reach up to 1500m/min). At the same time, this becomes the newest, highest level in slitting and rewinding technology, and it is also a milestone in GOEBEL’s technology development.  “We have taken into account Bruckner’s leading technology and undertake corresponding consideration in the design of the compatible slitter rewinder, i.e. the requirement of the high-speed, stability and vibration-free system. At the same time, the slitter should be of easy design, simple to install and run and to be equipped with an advanced driving system.” The machine was introduced by Mr Harald Knechtel, Sales Director of GOEBEL.

“China film market is one of the fastest growing developments in the World. GOEBEL had become the major supplier in the Chinese film industry.  Their market share is increasing and will expand further with this order. We are expecting a two-digit increase in our turnover.”, Dr Enderle, Managing Director, said. “As for production, we insisted on the best quality and the best made in Germany. All products  come from Europe.”

Energy preservation is one of the key issues in Goebel’s technology development. “Siemens advanced drive system had been used a few years ago. With the assistance of an energy saving motor, the saved energy will be stored and fed back to be re-used. From the view of structure, there is the highest requirement in gears since the friction in gears generates energy consumption.  Furthermore, Goebel slitter rewinders use an automatic top cutter exchange system to increase efficiency. Automatic production can assist in saving labor and increase working safety. Last but not least, maintenance is also important. In our design, we had considered the easy disassembling during maintenance for all parts.
