Harper Corporation Joins SGP as Silver Patron

Press release from the issuing company

Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), a non-profit organization providing sustainability certification in the graphic communications industry, today welcomes Harper Corporation of America as its newest Silver Patron. Harper Corporation of America is the leading innovator in laser-engraved ceramic anilox roll production and restoration for the gravure and flexographic printing markets worldwide. Sustainability is a corporate value for Harper Corporation, and the company demonstrates its commitment through its support of SGP.

"We are thrilled to support the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership," comments Lee Kluttz, Vice President of Operations at Harper Corporation of America. "Sustainability is important at Harper Corporation, as it is throughout the flexographic industry. We are excited to contribute to a cause that we believe will only improve the industry as a whole."

"Harper Corporation's support as an SGP Patron demonstrates the company's continuous commitment to education and sustainability," remarks Dr. Doreen Monteleone, Director of Special Projects for the Flexographic Technical Foundation and Treasurer for the SGP Program.

For Harper Corporation, going green means doing what is right to protect resources and the planet for future generations. To support its sustainability initiatives, Harper has implemented recycling programs and adopted a four-day work week, thereby lowering employee commute miles by 20% and contributing to the improvement of local air quality. In production processes, the company has developed responsibly manufactured programs to prevent pollution, save energy, and reduce the use of raw materials. The products sold to sustain anilox roll life are biodegradable, using chemistry with reduced VOC rates. Additionally, Harper Corporation is focusing its resources and research into developing new lines of cleaners that are 100% green.
