Two of W+D North America’s most innovative products received special awards granted by an international panel of experts during the recent Graph Expo ’11 exposition.
W+D’s ConceptD and the W+D BB700 each received a “Worth-a-Look” award. The award was created by Graph Expo organizers to recognize exceptional products and services that support the needs of niche markets and selected groups of printers and converters.
The machines were chosen from over 2,000 products on display at the exposition, according to Andrew Schipke, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at W+D North America.
A fully operational ConceptD ran throughout the trade show, which was held September 11-14, 2011 at Chicago’s McCormick Place South. The ConceptD provides high quality, high volume ink jet printing for the personalized direct mail segment capable of up to 30,000 envelopes per hour inkjet with variable data.
Graph Expo ‘11 also served as the launch pad for W+D’s BB700. The fully intelligent envelope inserting system ran daily at the show. The W+D BB700 featured an integrated front end print line that supports inline dynamic print-on-demand and read credit card application.
Graph Expo is one of the largest and most important printing and graphics industry expositions in the world. The show announced that over 13,400 qualified buyers attended this year’s event in Chicago.
