xpedx has named Rick Burdick vice president of sales - Print, reporting to Dan Watkoske, executive vice president, sales. In his new position, Rick will have lead responsibility for the Print sales channels and national customer solutions, and he will lead the Print sales organization in achieving profitable marketplace growth.

Rick brings more than 30 years of distribution and paper manufacturer sales experience to his new leadership role. Throughout his career, Rick has held positions in sales, sales management and technical services within distribution divisions and paper manufacturers. He joined xpedx in 2001 from the former Champion International Corp. where he held the position of vice president of Printing and Converting Papers. In 2003, he joined the xpedx National Accounts group where he was named to his most recent position as executive director.

“Rick has provided valuable leadership in his National Accounts position, and he has made a significant and positive impact on the team through his customer focused approach and results-driven efforts,” said Dan. “His leadership and customer skills will be invaluable as he turns his focus to the Print sales team. We look forward to seeing Rick make an immediate contribution in Print as he did so well with National Accounts.”

Rick and his wife, Julie, will continue to reside in Greater Cincinnati area.
