Press release from the issuing company
Managing Editor Inc. (MEI), is pleased to congratulate longtime customer Bloomberg LP for winning the prestigious XMA Cross Media Award this week at IFRA Expo 2011.
The World Association of Newspapers announced that Bloomberg, publisher of Bloomberg Businessweek, had received the award for the Businessweek+ iPad app. The app includes all of the content used in the print edition, along with additional exclusive features.
The XMA is given at the association’s annual Expo, held this year in Vienna, to companies that are using a wide variety of platforms — print, Web, mobile, video and more — to deliver editorial and advertising content in innovative ways.
New York-based Bloomberg, one of the world’s leading providers of financial information and analysis, uses the vjoon™ K4 Cross Media Publishing Platform and K4 XML Exporter™ for managing and delivering content across multiple output channels. MEI is the exclusive distributor of vjoon K4 in the Americas.
“Businessweek has always worked at the cutting edge of digital publishing, and it’s great to see them recognized for that,” said MEI President Dennis McGuire. “We’re also proud that MEI has had a role in helping Bloomberg develop the novel approaches needed to succeed in the 21st-century information industry.”
