Press release from the issuing company
GHP has ordered a new Akiyama Jprint perfecting press from Goss International. The 10-color press will be installed at the company's West Haven, Connecticut facility later this fall.
"After investigating other perfecting presses available and visiting two printers in the U.S. to see Jprint presses in action, we were convinced this was the best option for premium print quality, efficiency and overall value," according to John Robinson, CEO. "The support capabilities of the large Goss International team in the U.S. were also a factor in our decision."
Goss International now represents and supports Akiyama products in North America.
Akiyama Jprint presses utilize a unique linear sheet transport that allows printing on both sides in a single pass without reversing or restacking. This design minimizes sheet handling, waste and registration challenges associated with perfecting and also reduces the size of the press.
GHP has been in continuous operation for 75 years and delivers offset and digital printing as well as engraving for a wide range of customers. The company has a 60,000-square-foot facility in West Haven and also provides advanced prepress, print finishing, mailing and web-to-print capabilities.
